What is tax-free shopping?

On most purchases in The Netherlands, you pay an amount of 21 percent VAT (value added tax). This amount is included in the purchase price. When you make a purchase in our store with the intention of taking it with you to a non-EU country, you are eligible for a VAT refund.

Tax free shopping services are provided by Global Blue. You may apply for tax free shopping if:

You are registered living in a country outside the European Union;

You minimum spent is € 50,- on one day;

You will take the purchase with you back home;

You will leave the E.U. within three months after the month of purchase date.

How to shop tax-free?

To get your refund, follow the steps below.

Amsterdam

Visit the Tax Refund Lounge on the 4th floor where a full range of tax free services isoffered. Follow the steps outlined on the touch screen on one of the self-service kiosk and receive your refund upfront and immediately. Refunds will be paid in cash (euro’s) and creditcard. Global Blue employees are happy to inform you about procedures and more complex transactions. Please note: you will still need to get a Customs stamp or proof of export within a specific time. If these Global Blue conditions are not, you will need to pay a fine.

Rotterdam, Den Haag

Visit Customer Services where tax free services are offered. Follow the steps outlined on the touch screen on the self-service kiosk and receive your refund upfront and immediately. Refunds will be paid in cash (euro’s) and credit card. Please note: you will still need to get a Customs stamp or proof of export within a specific time. If these Global Blue conditions are not, you will need to pay a fine.

Amstelveen, Eindhoven, Maastricht, Utrecht

Visit Customer Services where your Global Blue tax free form will be printed. Your refund will be paid after the validation (customs stamp) and returning the forms to Global Blue.

Attention (!)

  • Validation (customs stamp) of the Tax Free Form is always required at the point of exit from the E.U at the airport or border control on the day of your departure.
  • You are required to return the (by customs stamped!) Tax Free Form either by dropping it at one of the Global Blue refund points or returning it by mail with the Global Blue envelope provided. Send the Tax Free Form (with corresponding invoice) using the Global Blue return envelope to:

Global Blue. P.O BOX 363, 810 00 Bratislava, Slovakia. Your refund will then be returned to your credit/debit card or e-wallet.

Home Delivery Service

In our store in Amsterdam, we offer the possibility of having your purchases delivered to your home address (including the Tax Refund) while you continue on your journey.

  • Enquire whilst making your purchase(s) about the Home Delivery service. You will be directed to the Tax Refund Lounge;
  • Your personal details will be registered and a Home Delivery process activated in the Global Blue Refund Lounge on the 4th floor;
  • Your Tax Refund will be processed at the same time;
  • After registration you will receive a payment link per email. Once paid the process will be initiated.
  • Handling:

The shipment arrival time may vary depending on the destination, but should arrive within 5 weeks. The Tax Refund will be paid after the shipment has been delivered (3- 5 weeks).
